Beneath the southern slopes of
Sagarmatha (Mount Everest) lies the rugged and remote land of
the Sherpas. Incredibly shaped mountains whose ice-capped
summits rise sharply above sheer rock walls and tower above
stone-walled fields and villages. Famous by their close
association with mountaineering history and exploration, these
are just part of this high altitude tour. You will pass
ancient Buddhist monasteries, steeped in tradition, draped in
prayer flags, and surrounded by the Himalaya's most impressive
peaks. . |

Dolpo
trek To the Land of the Snow Leopard |
|
| |
|
Situated on the border of Tibet in Nepal's
northwest comer lies Dolpo. It is one of the Himalaya's most
unique and isolated cultural regions. Dolpo is the land of
mystery and legends: untouched mountain vistas, Tibetan
culture, snow leopards and deep seated ancient Buddhist
wisdom. Long out of bounds to foreign trekkers, Dolpo lures
adventurers with promises of untouched natural splendour,
mystical cultures and rare wildlife. Dolpo, situated in
Nepal's far west, was only recently opened to trekkers. This
is where you find the stunning Phoksumdo Lake, celebrated as
the jewel of Dolpo. |

Exploring
the Ancient Kingdom Of Different Country |
|
| |
|
This ancient hidden kingdom
is limited to a few groups per year: We visit its unique
villages and walled capital, taking in the ancient
monasteries, rituals and Buddhist traditions still practiced
today. This provides a very special opportunity to visit an
area, which has been isolated from outside influence for
centuries. This remote trek is for the more adventurous walker
and includes a unique look at a part of Nepal, which is
considered a cradle of Tibetan culture. |

Experience
the Cultural People of Himalayan Tribe "SHERPA " |
|
| |
|
The Everest region has more to offer than just
a view of the worlds highest mountains -it is the home- land
of the Sherpa people. On this trek our host Lhakpa Sherpa
takes us off the beaten path to his own village and the
fabulous Mani Rimdu (Masked Dance) festival, as well as some
of Khumbu's remote and fascinating monasteries. We take
several little-known trails affording views of Everest,
Lhotse, Kangtaiga, Ama Dablam and the other great peaks of the
Khumbu area. Then we join festive crowds of Tibetans and
Sherpas at Chiwong Gompa for the annual Mani Rimdu Festival.
